Routine Appointments
An appointment system is in operation. Same day appointments will be available at 8.30am each morning by telephone only.
We will try to fit you in with your preferred doctor whenever possible, but please remember that your usual doctor may not be available for a few days.
If you miss your appointment, you will need to re-book; at busy times we cannot guarantee that this will be on the same day as your original appointment.
Please note the GP consultation will be for the booked patient only.
Advanced Access Appointments
We operate an advanced access appointments system in line with government directive. A percentage of morning appointments can be pre-booked up to at least one week in advance. The remaining morning appointments will be booked on the day.
A small percentage of pre-bookable afternoon appointments are available in advance and on the morning of each day.
Please ask at reception for details if you are working.
Online Appointments
You can now book your appointments online. If you would like to access this service please contact the surgery for your unique ID number, password and further instructions. If you already have your log-in details, sign in here.
Urgent Problems
If you have an urgent medical problem, the on-call doctor will see or speak to you as soon as possible. You may be asked to attend the surgery and wait until there is a doctor available. Please only ask for an urgent appointment if you have a problem that cannot wait.
Telephone Advice
If you are unable to attend surgery it may be possible for one of the clinical staff to give you advice over the telephone at the end of surgery.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
If you can not make your appointment let us know as soon as you can so another patient can book the appointment time. You can cancel or change your appointment:
- Phone us.
- Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist.
If you need help when we are closed
- Use NHS 111 online (111.nhs.uk) or call 111. 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
- If it’s a life-threatening emergency call 999.
Temporary Residents
You are entitled to see a doctor anywhere in the UK if you are away from home and in need of medical help. You can do this by simply asking to see the nearest doctor as a temporary resident.
Likewise, we will be happy to see any relatives or friends staying with you if they need a doctor.
Home Visits
If you are too unwell to attend the surgery, please phone before 10.00am if possible, giving brief details of your problem, so that the doctor can plan their visits in order of urgency. Home visits are for people who are genuinely housebound.
Remember, we can see three or four people in the surgery in the time an average visit takes.
