Clinics

Well Person Clinics

This can cover the assessment of the risk of heart disease, smoking, weight, diet, fats in the blood, blood pressure and alcohol intake. When you attend, please bring a fresh sample of urine in a suitable bottle.

Contraception

We offer advice to both men and women on all aspects of family planning. This is available during normal surgery times with the doctor.

Children's Health

The surgery provides a full immunisation service and child developmental clinics in conjunction with the health visitor.

Minor Operations

We perform minor surgery in our treatment room at the surgery.

Typical operations are joint injections.

Please make an appointment to see the doctor first if you think you require this service.

Diabetic Clinic

The practice nurse runs a clinic. These are especially for diabetics not seen regularly at the hospital.

Travel

Please contact the practice nurse for up-to-date advice about the immunisations you need and other advice before you go on your trip abroad.

Smears

We recommend that every woman who has ever been sexually active has a regular smear test. Our policy is to do this routinely every three years.

Please book an appointment, telling the receptionist it is for a smear.
